Meet
Debbie
Hi! I’m Debbie.
Hi! I’m Debbie. I’m a career and life coach helping people with work and beyond.
I love being a catalyst, pushing boats out, and ensuring people know how to row them.
My work background is ~30 years in Customer Experience (CX) and User Experience (UX) as a strategist and change agent specializing in setting houses in order in record time. I’ve worked with companies of all sizes from early ideas to startups to Fortune 100s.
I’m an entrepreneur who has owned a few businesses over the decades. I like to help people strategize, plan, and implement new business ideas. I also like to prevent people from throwing time or money at bad ideas or businesses that are unlikely to pay off.
My most recent book is Life After Tech, a career coaching and introspection book and workbook with 18 exercises. Despite the title, it’s a great read and action plan for those staying in tech, leaving tech, trying to find their next tech jobs, or perhaps tech took your job. It’s for everybody.
I’ve written, edited, narrated, and published multiple books. I also coach new and aspiring authors on planning, writing, and self-publishing print, digital, and audiobooks.
On more of the consulting side, I’m an experienced leader with a track record of building and leading diverse research and design teams, shaping product vision, influencing strategies, and driving initiatives. I have many years of experience in CX and UX strategy, research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, testing, and more.
I teach approaches to new products, services, experiences, and startups unlike what’s in other books and courses. If you’re also tired of the 90%+ startup failure rates thanks to the same old methods, let’s talk about trying quality over speed. You can always go faster, but the value of being better and getting things right earlier will pay off.
Experience and accreditation
In addition to years of consulting, strategizing, and advising companies, I have over 250 hours of private coaching experience.
I am currently attending an ICF-credentialed educational program. I expect to receive my ICF Level 1 ACC certification in March 2025.
